My immediate goal is simply to catch a late afternoon beer buzz.

Brother!

My goal is to polish off my liter and a half of beer, smoke exactly two cigarettes, visit my wife at the bar she is working at, and then go get more beer and cigarettes. Gotta have a purpose in life, you know?

Also, to open and close a bar. Was gonna do it at my old dive, but the fucking swine tore it down to build a McDonalds.

"Also, to open and close a bar."

A fine goal. Difficult to accomplish, but that's why we set em.
Here's to you!

cheers

To get together with some real Rain Dogs, thats my goal.
This is from 2003, but please tell me you'll see this. Innocent When You Dream is literally my favorite Tom Waits song. The barroom version is fantastic. Although my favorite is the 78 version

This year I try one new whiskey a month.

This month it's Laphroaig 10 year old. I have very little experience with Scotch. The peaty-smokey flavor caught me off guard. Reminds me of Drum tobacco. Glad I finally tried it after seeing it in the shelf for so long.

Not mine either. But it is growing on me. I like it paired with a hoppy beer. Still definitely not my favorite scotch.

To attain high drunkenness off incredibly cheap shit.

Or, to attain high levels of bliss through fabulously costly nectar.

Both are more than admissible. I enjoy them in their own respects.
Don't worry. We're in no hurry.
