On the subject of horse racing, anyone else here ever been to dollar days at Bay Meadows?
Dollar parking, (or a free bus from BART if you'd rather) dollar admission, dollar hotdogs and dollar beers (or mimosas)

I have the makings of a Black-eyed Susan and I plan to take advantage tonight.
That may be the vilest concoction ever foisted on the drinking and betting public. Worst of the Triple Crown drinks.
Come on, don't crap on someone else's drink
I wasn't shitting on his choosing said drink. I was shitting on the drink in general. If you choose to enjoy them please do so. My wife loves the horrid things. I will buy them for her by the gallon even though I loathe them. Why? It makes her happy. If they make Rye or you happy have at it. I still reserve the right to shit on the drink in question. It's akin to shitting on Fireball.

It's like someone took a perfectly good screwdriver and just fucked it all up.

The original Black-Eyed Susan cocktail called for 1 ounce each of vodka and rum, 3/4 ounce of Cointreau, and 1 1/2 ounces each of orange juice and pineapple juice. Garnish it with an orange wheel, pineapple cube, and cherry.

Iv'e had variations were the rum was switched with whiskey, no help at all, as well as the pineapple juice was swapped with grapefruit juice which made it even more of a monstrosity.

It being a Maryland race they should have Old Bay-ed up a variation of a Bloody. That is only my opinion. Preakness officials never consulted me so...

haha, yeah, the Julep is better.

But I didn't mind it. I did make some changes though.
Instead of orange juice, I substituted it with mango-pineapple. And I made my own sour mix.

It wasn't that bad. But just to be sure, I'll make one for Jack n Coke this weekend. She hates anything overly alcoholic. So if she likes this then there has to be some merit there.
AS I stated above it's just an overly complicated screwdriver. Jack n Coke should love them as Mrs. Patchez is the same way. Too boozy is a non starter for her.
