Astonishingly old wine variety

Post by booznik »

Quite a history behind this one. I only heard of it recently, and found some at a specialist shop. All that liquid history for under $25. The accent is on the "i" - it's pronounced command-a-REEA.

I enjoyed it. A bit thin and less ABV than port, but rather tasty. Had a handmade feel to it... there was a crushed bit of grape seed in one glass.
