If I want beer on Sundays I need to go to the pub. Good thing I've still got some left.

Noon here. There were four in the fridge this morning. I wonder how they got there?

good god, and i thought VA's laws were ridiculous...

the selling starts at 6am and ends at midnight. beer & wine, that is.
liquor cannot be sold on sundays, unless you live in a city that meets a certain population quota... and the liquor stores close at 9pm.
i can tell you though, that 12am-6am gap is BRUTAL.

Virginia's laws ARE awful. After midnight's one of the times you need a beer the most

my thoughts exactly, friend. and some of the more tyrannical ones will stop selling at 11:45 to prevent the hassle.
which means a mad dash across country roads at 11:50 to get to the "cool" gas station that will allow sales at 12:01, as long as they know you.

When shop owners want beer on a Sunday morning, they come to Thirsty's kitchen.

At least in Ca we can buy liquor at the gas station, but it always seems to me that I run out of booze around midnight and have to get the least drunk or non drinker to fly down to the store for more.

As I said many times, it's all about planning. Don't get caught naked (i.e. without booze).

In CT are there still no alcohol sales period, not even in restarurants, on Good Friday?

When I was a kid in western Mass. we used to make beer runs to NY state on Sundays and liquor runs to Vermont.
