^ ^ ^ The Black album I didn't mind but then that was the end for me. 1991 was a great year for album releases.

^^^^ I was a big Metallica fan as a kid. I loved it all up through Garage Inc. Then they put out S&M. I had zero appreciation for classical music at the time. I like it now but S&M still sucks shit. Then they put out the epic turd that is St. Anger. After two consecutive stinkers it dawned on me the last time I was excited for a Metallica release was two CDs of cover songs. Load and Reload turned into the crap albums they always were. This is when I got off the Metallica train. I've heard bits and pieces since then, it's varying degrees of nothing I give a shit about. I've tried listening to the Black Album again and it just sounds like a bad rock album to me. On the brighter side I've really come to like the instrumental tracks - the bass solo on Kill 'em All, Call of Ktulu, and Orion. I also kind of like that ...And Justice For All is longer than it needs to be. One is still a shit song though. Sorry I'm rambling. In short I'm over Metallica.
