Having to work at work...
I was actually working the past couple of days at work. Everythig gets hectic before classes start. The actual down time that I did have was incredibly boring because the T1 line was down for an upgrade. I also had to shakingly drag my hungover ass up to help with a seminar in front of the entire faculty and staff, quite embarassing. Oh well, they treat me well normally. Thank the gods (Dionysus, specifically) for the curative powers of booze.

i may not be able to just stop going to work, but i'll be damned if i make easier the lives of those above me by doing my job. if they can't appreciate a good hangover, then fuck 'em all. i'll work when its beneficial to me. i'm sorry they make you do your job. i'm drinking this one for you.

This post made me realize that i should do some work. my strategy is to "work" for about 5 minutes, "find" (sometimes meaning create  ) an issue that requires the boss to intervene, and resume my conversation with the wall until the issue is resolved. I then repeat the process. I really don't know why they pay me, but I am thankful that they do!
