It appears whenever I plan not to drink (i.e get suckered into doing the driving), I win a lot of beer at the pub, end up drinking, staying the night, almost burning the fucking place down and turning up to work late on Fridays and Thursdays.
The mystical forces of the universe know I signed up for this gig and I can't go AWOL.
