I am reading "Pygmy" by Chuck Palahniuk and "The 48 Laws of Power" by Robert Greene. The people reading "Art of War" or have read it should def check out Laws of Power. It gives historical proof of people obeying or breaking these laws and the repercussions of their actions.

Just finished the last Dortmunder and am now rereading Nice, by Jen Sacks. It's summer. I like to keep it light.

The latest (well, Pygmy and Rant) have been hard to get through. I love Chuck P. don't get me wrong, but his writing is lacking for me lately.
I need David Sedaris to come out with a new book.
Edit: Nvm, I haven't read his book from June yet. Woohoo, here I come Amazon!
RIP Tim.

It sounds pretentious, but I'm at the tail end of Dante's Divine Comedy, it's only taken 12 years lol

I'm glad to hear I'm not the only Dortmunder fan around here. I've read all but the last two adventures of Donald Westlake's funniest creation. By the way, for classic film fans, I'd highly recommend The Comedy of Charlie Chaplin: Artistry in Motion by Dan Kamin. I posted a review of the book on my "Booze Movies" site. Here's a link to the review:Savage wrote:Just finished the last Dortmunder and am now rereading Nice, by Jen Sacks. It's summer. I like to keep it light.

You and I, my friend, have to go on that Jersey Devil hunt, and we'll do that listening to the music of Erich Zann. And drinking absinthe, of course.Rip Rufus wrote:Another book of short stories by HP Lovecraft.

The fact that I haven't read this epic work of literature makes me feel shame from skin to marrow.Palmwine Drunkard wrote:The Iliad again...
