Re: What are you drinking right now?
^^^ cold beer and bourbon are a winning combo. Cheers!
Re: What are you drinking right now?
Doing some bottle maintenance, trying to finish off the remnants so I can crack into a fresh one tomorrow.
I don't like having lots of shit laying around.
Not sure what I'll get -- how exciting!

^^^ Indeed. Gotta have time to celebrate the changing of the seasons. Especially since I'll have Christmas forced down my throat any day now.

Celebrating an abrupt, significant drop of temperature with some bourbon neat, trying to drink this Thursday into a Saturday while saving my beer for the warmer days (they'll come, they always come back...).

I feel like if we took a group vote this would win out the duel wielding drinks category vote...

PBRs at the dive. Trying to think of what to get next.
I’d naturally prefer a neat pour of something decent, but the liquor selection is bare-bones.

Re: What are you drinking right now?
how do bars like that stay in business? The spit and sawdust boozer near me will have 10-15 drinkers in tonight and it's struggling to stay afloat.

Dunno man. This bar has been around ever since I've lived here though. It's probably super busy at night.benitobeast69 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 23, 2021 3:18 pmhow do bars like that stay in business? The spit and sawdust boozer near me will have 10-15 drinkers in tonight and it's struggling to stay afloat.

Re: What are you drinking right now?
That can depend on a few factors, a huge one is, does the bar own the building they're in or lease it, if it's owned outright that dramatically lowers the overhead, another big one can be staff, if the owner(s) work most of the shifts then of course they are paying less for staff, then there's taxes, different state/county/city different taxesNausea wrote: ↑Thu Sep 23, 2021 4:33 pmDunno man. Yeah I can see that...i guess if they live in the pub as well then they don't have a mortgage to pay so don't need as much income..can run the bar as more of a hobby than a business. Be awesome to be in that position.Merchant Seaman wrote: ↑Thu Sep 23, 2021 5:24 pmThat can depend on a few factors, a huge one is, does the bar own the building they're in or lease it, if it's owned outright that dramatically lowers the overhead, another big one can be staff, if the owner(s) work most of the shifts then of course they are paying less for staff, then there's taxes, different state/county/city different taxesNausea wrote: ↑Thu Sep 23, 2021 4:33 pmDunno man.
