PROST MY BRUDDA
Drinking a bottle of Orval from back in 2019. drinking it luke warm with some Cornish Cruncher Cheddar.
It's a banger...nose is a little dusty from the age but tastes amazing.

Glenallachie 10, cask strength, batch 5.
There's a lot of buzz going around about this batch being excellent, so I had to give it a try.
I didn't like it at first but, now that I've sesh'd it a bit, I like it more.
Wouldn't buy it again at the current price point though.

Don't worry. We're in no hurry.

Cans of cheap beer for the middle of the week for myself.
Re: What are you drinking right now?
In pre-covid days if I got done with work early enough I would rush home, shower up, and head to the bar. That usually meant getting done by 8:30 at night. For the last two nights in a row I was done before 8, but I stayed home instead. Tonight it's beer/whiskey.
It's like covid destroyed my craving for bars.

i'm the same to be honest...I've not been to the pub in about 3 weeks. pre lockdown I'd go 3 times a week.Hugh wrote: ↑Thu Oct 14, 2021 10:39 pmIn pre-covid days if I got done with work early enough I would rush home, shower up, and head to the bar. I kinda wanna get back to how I used to do it just to support that industry...The pub trade in England was already struggling before lockdowns. At the same time though I've got a fucking wedding to pay for and a case of beer and bottle of bourbon costs the same as like 6 pints in the pub.

GIN GIN GIN GIN GIN GIN.
Been back on a mad gin thing the past week or so...didn't hurt that Beefeater was on offer at the supermarket.
Right now it's a fat splash of Beefeater with tonic and lime wedges...enough ice that my hands aching holding the glass.
Gonna be martini time next I think.
Oh and not that you asked but I'm scrannin a big bowl of anchovy stuffed olives while drinking. They're bangin

In my new digs, there really isn't a bar, unless I want to drive into Augusta, about 35 miles, but seeing as I'm back in The Emerald city for a week, I'll for sure be hittin' up some jointsHugh wrote: ↑Thu Oct 14, 2021 10:39 pmIn pre-covid days if I got done with work early enough I would rush home, shower up, and head to the bar. Glenfarclas 12. This is a super nice buy for the price.
