I had always thought that what I was drinking could not be termed a "boilermaker" because I thought a boilermaker was a shot glass of whiskey dropped into a glass of beer. However, the Wine Enthusiast has this to say about the matter: "What most modern bartenders generally don’t suggest, however, is dropping a shot of whiskey into a beer and chugging it.

Had some ouzo earlier, finishing off the remaining bottle from last night so I have space for tomorrow's much-needed stocking up, and now I'm having white wine. One bottle's down, another opened, and a third sits in the fridge. I'm not an optimist by nature, quite the opposite actually, but there are times life feels good, and it's usually when the booze river flows wild. Cheers, and drink up.
