This is so strange. Back in 2003 there were only a few posters on the drunkard board. Padraig, BarcaLounger, myself, etc.
For several years I bantered with Lucky Strikes. She was so funny! Padraig was in love with her. After quite a while I thought she was playing my brother. But then he said he believed that she was a construct of several people--in short, a made up person. She supposedly worked with parolees, was deaf, and so forth. Apparently, all lies. My heart hurt for Patrick. When he got married to -- oh dear god it is late and I cannot remember her name-- I was so happy for him. (I am so sorry I missed the Vegas wedding, due to an unfortunate overconsumption incident) Sadly some of us oldtimers remember that marriage went south. When he got sick, he did not share his troubles with me, (not entirely) and I have to admit, I did not fully share mine with him. We are, were, both very private, self-contained people. Then he died, and I lived. Life is so random. I miss my brother.
