"And there's a mum..."
"...drinking a beer! That looks grand!" Small Fry has been attending day camp and must be collected by 15:00. The past two days I've been able to collect her due to my unemployment and have had a frothy Asashi, Carlsberg, Kirin Ichiban or such while waiting for her bus to arrive. The camp leader rolls up, beat like an Afgan rug, with 10 tired kids. I offered to buy him a beer while we were waiting for the other mothers to show up but he declined. I'm sure under other circumstances he wouldn't have passed up the free beer.
