How many 12 oz beers in a 5 liter mini keg. The guy at the beer store said thay are equivalent to a 12 pack, so at $20 bucks its not much of a deal.

14.0833333333333....

1 liter = 33.8 ounces

5 x 33.8 = 169 ounces

168 / 12 = 14.08333333333.......

Or, if you prefer 16 oz beers, you would get 10.5625

5 liters is 169.07 ounces.
Handy converter
169/12=14 12 oz. cans plus a sip.
I wouldn't pay more than a dollar a bottle for Heinekin (if that's what the mini keg is).

I geeked. I went the other way.

12 fl oz = 355 ml

5L = 5000ml

5000 / 355 = 14.08450704

Or, to get subjective, 5L = a pretty good night at Casa Waahoohah.

I like google's answer better. It works out to 0.00466904 of a beer more than mine.

FNZ, I have never laughed so hard. Please enjoy/pour this beer on me, Herr Friedrich, while I type this.

Man those kegs are a ripoff.
I hate Heinken almost as much as Corona.

I envy their marketing team, tho. IF I could borrow them for week, people would be paying top dollar to drink my urine while I drank good beer and pissed in a purple bottle and handed it of to some kid on the beach.

We're talking volume here, with no accounting for mass. Is this at sea level? I'm mostly concerned with how much mass I am consuming. Of course, in an environment where the volume of a given mass expands, so does the density of the air I'm breathing decrease in inverse proportion, so I probably get the same buzz regardless of how many atmospheres. But the important thing is that all of you who decided I was full of shit and went to research it on wikipedia or youtube or the David Letterman show left your booze unprotected, and you will find I have syphoned it into my glass through your wireless LAN.

Thanks for all the replies. Yes it was Heineken, no I didn't buy it. They look so cool all lined up there and the marketing with the robot woman almost pulled me in. But then he said it was about 12 Heines for 20 bucks (the geeks say about 14). No thanks.
He told me it would stay fresh for 30 days after opening or 1 year unopened. I guess that may be a selling point for some people, but it made me laugh, then he laughed too.

If your only experience with Heineken has been from a bottle, you haven't tasted it yet. Draft in Amsterdam is the best way to get it, but those 5L cans come close. (Unless they've been abused, like by getting too warm).

American Heineken is brewed in Canada like Foster's. Sucks to be us.
