The girl that I've been "seeing" lately. I drank with her last night. We get together often and drink. She usually loosens up a bit after a few beers and then it's a lot of fun. However, she usually flakes out on me for several days after we have a night of drinking. I need to get that kink worked out but other than that...................

I'd like to drink, and maybe jam, with John Lennon myself. On the other end of the spectrum, I think John Wayne would have been fun to booze with in some bar down in Mexico where he and his buddies used to go whoring and fishing back in the '50s. Lots of writers....Hemingway, Faulkner, Bukowski....all the great writing drunks.

I read that as "whoring and fisting". I got to get out more often - all this internet porn is making me crazy.

Dorothy Parker

Sir Arthur Conan Doyle

Second vote for Poe, yo.

Thelonious Monk

H.P. Lovecraft -- probably wouldn't like him, though. Uptight, racist motherfucker.

Julia Child

Paul Prudhomme

Samuel Taylor Coleridge -- fuck it. Milton, too. Man needed a drink.

Mark Twain!

Angela Carter

Edgar Rich Burroughs

Diane Di Prima

The genius motherfucker who wrote The Mabinogian

Pan. Yeah...the Great God Pan! That would be brilliant.

WHAT?! Did you just want to bring up the fact that you've been "seeing" a girl and drinking? You've been gone for months and this is what you pop in to share?!?

one last time with my dead father..last time i saw him was in a body bag crushed from impact..his face..was perfect though despite his bruises and the bits of glass in his forehead.

he always said to me 'gin is the bottom of the barrel and all the time I was in the millitary and NOT getting a tattoo turns out later in my life my youngest daughter has more tattoos than a drunken sailor'

i loved my son of a bitch hard ass father..

he told me before he was killed back when he had a stroke..

'I'm harder on you than any of the kids because you are the strongest..with the most common sense'

sometimes i wonder how strong i am..you do what you gotta do in this life..and try to be decent..that is all.
