Maybe you just think your undrunk. It happened to me once. My friends told me what was really going on. :)

Or was it my enemies?
Why?

WTF, man! If you want to fuck up some Vodka just hand me the glass of straight up version. I'll dip the tip of my dick in it and that way we can ruin Vodka like meant to do it.
Ah, now I know why they call you "Dirty Lou."

C always buys the 80 proof. It's her way of putting a slight limit on my drunkeness. Now Whiskey, that's a-ok with cola. I got Turkey 80 and Pepsi tonight. Yum.

Tanq or the Sailor are usually my fave high powered choices. Tanq just breezes out of the pores the next day though. Brown liquor tends to be processed better and with less next day stink. Oh, Old Weller, how can we forget you. There was a time awhile back when everyone on the board was just swilling Old Weller down like we were getting paid to drink it. What happened? Savage, Casino, Bourbon drinkers, do you remember those days? We may have to organize an Old Weller reunion this weekend. Everybody get rocked by the 107 proof goodness. There would at least be good drunk posts.

Just to clarify, It's 80 proof McCormick vodka with diet coke. I love WT 101 but can't afford to keep up with my drinking. I go through 2 handles of vodka every 3 days or so. I mix it with diet coke because it tastes good to me. If that's against someones rules, I don't give a damn. I've never been into letting someone else tell me what to do, I think that's why I'm a cop. lol

I'm 6'7" and about 285, so I'm in a similar big boat. I've noticed that when I'm mixing, the sugariness of the drink has an effect on how quickly I get drunk, and how drunk I get. I *do not* get as ripped, as quickly, mixing booze with diet drinks. Something about insulin and metabolizing alchohol, I believe. You've got to drink more more quickly to get drunk while mixing with diet drinks. This is also the case with undiluted spirits, but the intake rate tends to be sufficiently increased that you don't experience a sluggish or delayed drunk.

I've also noticed that the booze/diet-drink combo results in more frequent all-too-undrunk then *BLAMMO! It's a Blackout!* type occurences. Just intuitively, I'm guessing it's something to do with insulin and metabolism of alcohol.

OMG, Cliffie. You are so scientific! But what do I know? I was so stupid, they made me take Earth Science with the stoners. We looked at rocks and stuff. Me, I just drink the booze. Feels good. End of my story.

I like my Popov with Fresca or Diet 7up, let's me think i'm being healthier than I really am, plus the taste incourages me to drink faster.

firstly, I've done every "you're a pussy/retard" move that drunkards on the internet identify; I avoid beer, I stop drinking when it's expensive, and in regards to this thread; I drink/chase with diet sodas.

I think getting drunk is fairly scientific. So like all scientists, I vary my approaches(note: not real science). I think alot of the hate that is given to alcohol in popular culture has not much to do with alcohol itself, but rather with methodology and the results when someone uses methods that don't work for them.

I really can't tell if I'm a heavy or light weight, because I think it's too subjective to tell for certain. but I can tell you I'm 6'1", 180-190 lbs, and sometimes I have a similar experience to yours. It usually happens when I drink for an entire day, and I don't know why.

Rarely, I've been drunk off my ass for an entire waking day, but more often, if I drink before breakfast and continue untill I sleep- I don't get much out of it. I'm kinda drunk, I know I'm kinda drunk, and that's it.

On the contrary, When I have a day of doing some menial nonsense(like anything that you ought not drink and do), and then hit the sauce with victory on the mind, I get drunk as hell. This could be an obvious example of expectations/yearning effecting drunkenness.

As far as lowering tolerance, 30 days is not likely, like many have said. It sounds like a good number; but in my experience it happens, and you need to drink, in much less time. for me, It's about 2 days If I'm just fucking around and 10 days if I'm "really serious". In either case, a month is overkill and your first drink back after even a 24 hour period without booze is heaven.

Given, I'm 6'5" and over 300 pounds but still... this is a lot of booze for me to be feeling so undrunk. I'm wondering if I should go on a month long hiatus (sp?) and see if I can't lower my tolerance. At the same time I don't remember my last night without a drink or 12. Hmm... Decisions decisions.
Yeah, I've been there at a much lower scale of course. It's still the same. Give it a minute or two and it will catch up to you. You may want to ramp up to 100+ proof bourbon of your choice (rum can get up to 150). This will save on the volume. Then there is always meditation and pot...

Gonna throw in a little of my own science here in regardds to the mixer and uptake into the system.....

Basically your body is pretty smart, it knows that booze is a poison and like any good nightclub it isn't letting the trouble makers in it in a hurry. Best way is for them to be with some nice guys.

Fizzy drinks have a slower uptake than still so that'll slow things down, Personally I find diet drinks have more fizz to them then the fat variety. These are the noisy but harmless frat boys

normal juices (orange juice and the like) are genrally welcome in your body and so can get absorbed quite nicely, and of course the open the door for alcohol. These are your group of normal folk with the one wild guy they are all keeping quiet.

Isotonic drinks are the darlings of the fast hit, These guys are VIP 's and your bbody is happy to let them in with all their friends on a queue jumper.

With a little experimentation you can time the point these guys are all allowed in to be the space of a few minutes giving an unbelievable hit from undrunk to drunk. Takes work but it is worth the experience.

My reaction too. I drank vodka and cola once in a karaoke bar with an older woman for whom it was the drink of choice. I did it to be polite and smoked a ciigarette with her too. It was a Virginia Slim or some ungodly thing. Niether was very good to me. The two day hiatus though can bring on a nice treat day three.
