Famous Grouse, will probably throw in some Four Roses and Evan Williams before the end of the night.
Sounds like a plan.

And you have a clever signature. One of the chief paradoxes of language: "don't believe anything too seriously, including that too" kind of thing.

Canonically: "This sentence is false."
Don't worry. We're in no hurry.

Philip Larkin's Au Bade is one of the "anointed" poems according to critic William Logan. And Logan has a reputation of not being a bullshitter. (I have the poem printed out from an internet site and I reread it constantly.)

And what of the Larkin poem about Coventry? I'm too drunk to remember it in its entirety. But the first fifteenmillion times I read it I thought it was bullshit. Then on the fifteenmillion and one it hit me. You gotta think to read Larkin

Aubade is my favorite Larkin poem. Relatable, one of the reasons why I drink

^^^ Thank you. I always enjoy your readings. Is there a limit on how long a poem can be?
Dumb question probably... I`m having my sixth white russian for brunch already, that might explain some
Drink!

I love cracking a beer first thing on a paid day off. Especially about the time I'd normally be clocking in. Cheers!

^ Cheers.

Shiner Ruby Redbird, a criminally underrated beer.

It won't get me very drunk, but I really love the grapefruit and ginger flavors. Incredibly refreshing.

Now, Talisker Distiller's Edition.

This is a leftover bottle from months ago, reminding me how much I love Scotch.

I'd give it a try, with a can of soda near by.

But even you yourself said it isn't truly Scotland-produced. Wonder how they get away with it...

Sitting back with some Wild Turkey, and the occasional cold beer to combat the heat. Feels good, man. Cheers!
