I remember badmouthing Evan Williams a couple of weeks ago on Skype, because of its premium whiskey pricing here in Greece, but now that I had a glass of Jim, I'm thinking next time I should shell out the extra three euros and get a fifth of EW instead. Unless I buy both and have them battle it out in my stomach; yeah, that sounds like a better plan.

^^ What oett said. For a long time, Jim Beam and TJD were the only readily available bourbons here. You had to go to wine cellars or whiskey bars to find anything else. It's only been a few months since one of my local supermarkets began carrying EW. It could also be a popularity thing, as scotch appears to be far more popular; most supermarkets have 2-3 brands of bourbon and a minimum of 10 brands of scotch. The bourbon-scotch ratio is the same at liquor stores, too.
