My parents forgot my bday again (well mom is demented and for cancer treatment in the hospital, I`ll forgive her) so my father hasty bought a bottle of Glen Grant something...
He didn`t even remember that I`m not a big scotch guy, that`s the true crime!

As far as I remember I liked that Glen Grant stuff though
Drink!

You may send all unwanted Scotch to me.

In return, you'll get a smile.
Don't worry. We're in no hurry.

Speaking of Scotch, just opened a bottle of Compass Box's Oak Cross.

This whiskey is unique because they use hybrid casks with American and French oak.

Following Patchez and scream ale, and because photos are fun:

Did I mention that it's utterly delicious?

Working at a candy store does have it's perks. Owning one would have more but ya gotta start somewhere.

Cheers! It's too bad we aren't fellow residents of Boozetown, for I would gladly share.

Went to the liquor store today to replenish my supply of Dickel rye when at long last I saw Balcones on the shelf. They had Lineage and Baby Blue, I went with the former. It's really sweet tasting, almost choclatey. I don't dislike it but maybe I should have gone with the Baby Blue. But hey if it's fun I won.
