Knob Creek. It was a struggle. To drunkenly open that waxed piece of shit.

But I really liked it

Damn those wax covered caps. They look fancy but they're a pain in the ass.

They do this a lot with beer. I hate it. It's handy to have a pocket knife around.

The wax shit is annoying with beer too. I always end up getting some in the beer then have to fish it out.

Wax was once quite useful in keeping a bottle sealed. Now it’s just another annoying throwback.

Wax belongs in my ears not on my liquor bottles

Speaking of wax I found myself in the liquor store yesterday. I saw Knob Creek and thought about how I haven't drank it in a while and figured why not. Between the thicker than I remember wax coating and the unbelievably snug cork it was damn near an adult proof cap. Good bourbon though, very pleasant warmth despite the heat.

Even better though was the look on the woman's face who was parked in front of us. She stared straight at me as I took a good pull from the bottle. She looked fairly annoyed and the bourbon never tasted sweeter.

Happy belated birthday to you, Savage. Let me guess, you purchased a lengthy tome on the art of underwater basket weaving?

Picked up a bottle of Old Forrester 100 proof today. Better than the 86 proof I had a while back.

Tully. NYD got me on that stuff. I usually prefer a bourbon, but that stuff ain’t bad.
Beer's just being social. Whiskey's drinkin'.
