This was from a taping of the Mike Douglas Show in Las Vegas, back in Jan/1982. We (the Blasters) were taping an episode and Liberace was there to tape another episode (they shot two a day). Hs limo drove right into the backstage area of the soundstage and he got out of the limo looking exactly like that.

I might look a bit nervous because I'm holding one of his mega-$$$$ rings in my right hand (you'll notice he doesn't have one on the middle finger of his left hand, as he normally does, in this photo), as I was checking out the ring's weight in relation to playing the piano when the photographer wanted to snap a picture. What you can't see is the two HUGE bodyguards ready to pounce if I even look like I'm gonna make off with that ring.
