I had to go look. Are you the guy that wrote the Ollie Reed article? I haven't read it yet as I only got the mag late last week. Looking forward to it and congratulations!JMB wrote: ↑Wed Dec 06, 2023 7:27 pmThank you for having me.
I have been a fan of Modern Drunkard since I bought the book in 2006. I then bought copies for friends and siblings.
I'm excited to be part of the community and was honored to have an article included in Issue 64.
I'm currently enjoying the Drinking Season (Halloween - St. Patrick's Day) and look forward to the second yearly drinking season (Memorial Day - Labor Day)

Hey there and welcome aboard fellow drunkard JMB! Congrats on the MDM published article! You're a celebrity in our book. And yes agreed, 'tis the season to drink and stay warm during the dark months of the Drinking Season. I ordered a dirty vodka martini from Mr. M.C. for the first round so this round I'd gladly appreciate another one. You know, for quality control. Danke and Sláinte!

Welcome to the board, it's great you staggered your way into our blurry little corner. And I just reread your article on Oliver Reed (first time I read it, everything was blurry); really good stuff!JMB wrote: ↑Wed Dec 06, 2023 7:27 pmThank you for having me.

Welcome MrMC, I'd sure like a tray full of Captain & Cokes right about now. Looking forward to drinking them while reading your stuff on this here board.MrMontroseC wrote: ↑Sat Dec 02, 2023 7:54 amI am here to introduce myself and tell the story of my creation.
I AM Mr. Montrose C. I was born of a highway sign on Interstate 16 in Georgia, announcing the upcoming exit to the towns of Montrose and Cochran. The first time I read that sign I knew who I was to become: Montrose Cochran, blues man, and in the parallel universe, Montrose Cochran, booze man.
I live for the blues, and I live for the booze. Once I climbed into that bottle of Jim Beam sometime in the mid-seventies he became my master. I have strayed a little, experimenting with Gin and Tonic some in the eighties, and sucking down a few bottles of George Dickel or Rebel Yell, but always returning to Mr. Beam.
Before I got lost in that bottle I would shower daily, keeping myself clean and fresh, but now, old and crabby, mostly drunk, I shower when my dogs won’t come near me. But, I am nevertheless happy.
I will tell the story of my life’s inspiration soon, my Grandfather Warren. Until then, here’s to you all!
DRINK!

We are envisioning you in the German style lederhosen, not Axl Rose style. So no, we don't like them.
