Better yet was having a few whiskies with a friend of my father's. 87 years old and still knocking them back more often than anybody I know. He told me "I didn't have a drink until I was 22 years old - and I haven't stopped since!" A truly amazing character. It's 0730, but I;m raising a glass to him now.
Just like my old man, same age. God bless the old guys, they've earned it.

I wish my Mia ( my maternal grandmother) was still around. She'd always greet me with, "Hi Doll! Want a glass of vino?"

We didn't toast, we were too busy drinking.

My friend told me today about 90-years old family friend. Last birthday he killed 8 beers with lunch and moved on to liquer. He also says he doesn't like water because it tastes like shit.

People tell me we will be dead on the 21st. But that is a Friday, and I plan on getting good and drunk. A soggy toast to all my drunken brothers and sisters!

Calendar ends on the 21st. that means Friday is all good. There will be hell to pay on Saturday, however.

Me? I'm toasting the opening of East River deer season. It was a long morning in the blind at 1 degree above zero and no tags were filled but I had a he'll of a good time with great friends.

Reason: Changed the Thread title to stop it being confused with the "What are you drinking?" thread.
