*So cold, we can't sleep with the window open. We even keep the furnace up to 68F at night.

It's like the opposite of the Riddick movie. Instead of not being able to go into the sun, you just can't go outside. Period. Or you will die.

And BTW it is balls ass cold here but Ballsfellow is correct. It is not even near the magnitude of cold that the U.S. got hit with. These wacky Germans don't even KNOW negative temperatures in Fahrenheit. I think the coldest it has been was -11°C which is like 12°F. Still fking cold though.

Those is SoCal and SoFla are feeling guilty right now because of the fine weather. High winds off the Pacific coast but the bright sunshine raising temps to near 70F. No precipitation but plenty of booze.

Ice storm on the way. Starts as I head in to work then gets really bad halfway through my shift. Hopefully I get home with out wrecking on the ice rink roads.

We’re nearing 10 days straight sub-zero temps. Snowed again last night another 3-4”. Not in Texas but next door, we’ve had rolling brown/blackouts. Speaking of blackouts, in this type weather I prefer to start the day with irish coffee, strong black brew with Seagram’s VO and Bailey’s. Lunchtime is beer, afternoons are Bloodies, and evenings whisky or brandy. A handful of crystalline snow in a tall glass of 100* voddie is nice. Enjoy the snow ye Drunkards
