There's a spicy BBQ HP? I've only ever seen the regular and the fruity. Those bottles also seem much larger than what I get the store.

I believe they are 450 g / 15 oz size. Is the fruity any good? It sounds tempting... The Spicy HP is actually pretty decent although not super spicy. Not compared to 'murrica with all the regional spicy sauces. But at least it isn't molassessy like most store bought brands and it's the best I've found in Germany so far. We have imported Carolina sauces etc. but they run over 9€ a bottle...way too much to spend on BBQ sauce.scream ale wrote: ↑Mon Mar 21, 2022 8:40 amThere's a spicy BBQ HP? Gates Extra Hot was my go to when I could get it. Not sure where it can be found but it had a nice kick and it was vinegary, not sugary. I'm sure I could order a bottle online for about 40€, not including 20€ for shipping. I guess 9€ a bottle isn't looking so bad after all.

The HP bottles in the good old USA are 255 g/ 8.99 oz. I've never tried the sweet HP but I remember asking about it on here once. It didn't seem recommended.
I've never seen Gates at the store but there's always a shit ton of BBQ sauce on the shelves. I really need to branch out from the store brand.

This cold and rainy day of early spring benefits greatly by a bit of hard liquor to dilate the capillaries and warm the heart with cheer. Life holds little reference without contrasts by which to judge.

hp is the brand...so it's just spicy (like AD says not that spicy) bbq sauce.scream ale wrote: ↑Mon Mar 21, 2022 8:40 amThere's a spicy BBQ HP? I've only ever seen the regular and the fruity. Those bottles also seem much larger than what I get the store.
it isn't brown sauce which hp also famously make.

So even Amazon listens to me through my laptop. I don't have any cats, but i have pictures of cats that I talk baby talk to. "Hello kitty!" "You the cutest kitty in the whirl!" So now on Amazon I have cat food ads on my home page.

it's my birthday today...made some bourbon and honey bacon for breakfast and necked back the remaining marinade as my first drink of the day. salty, sweet and bourbon...pretty good..don't think health boards would approve with the whole raw bacon having been in it and all that...but hey ho.
