Just ate two medium pizzas with a bottle of wine. Now into the beer. Worked on the scoot for bout an hour or so today. Tomorrow I need to bleed the brakes, clutch and get going on the installation of additional lights. If I get caught out at night I'll have the road all lit up. I'm doing a 6k tour in June in the Northwest. Getting all the geegaws and add-ons installed. It'd be nice to take her out for a few hundred miles.

Saturday Girlie, her sprout, and I joined up with Girlie's sister (and her son) for the Collingswood May fair. Collingswood is a dry town, so you can imagine the raucous good times standing in line for the moon bounce et al. It was fun to be out and the boys were delighted, so that's all well.

Girlie and I departed with her son to attend a Bar B Q at my guitarist's home, whereupon I set upon Rolling Rock, Bourbon, Margaritas, and Jell-O Shots, as well as hamburgers, chicken, pulled pork, and other delights. I got royally stewed and, trying to spray beer into a fire, dousing my friend's girlfriend's foot instead. Same friend tried pouring beer onto the fire from the bottle, and this also only managed to get it on his girl's foot. Then more beer went onto my head. Me and the friend then began mock fighting to the cautionary yelps of the other partyers. This ended when Girlie enhanced the severity of her tone, which is usually a sign that I'm not funny. Which is hard to imagine, but I've learned that she is very smart.

We finished up in Girlie's kitchen entertaining guests until daybreak, with Girlie retiring her dedicated driver status and rapidly catching up with wine to a well earned buzz.

Today I sat around the house staring at the sour looks on my face. I flirted with Bourbon in tentative sips and eventually mowed the lawn once I was sure my head was back to normal and Booze wasn't harboring any rancor toward me.

Booze is a forgiving mistress if one's heart is never wandering.

Nice tale! I have a very quite weekend here, but that's not bad. Since I finally got to talk to gripping the wheel, I'm good.

barbeque later and that's cool.

Spent the weekend with family, got back here and ate some grilled fish. No one's around, and THE BARS ARE CLOSED so I'm bored.

played mini Whack fuck with the daughter today and went for pizza. Now I'm back at work hitting the sauce and playing cards. It's fucking dead for being a holiday and all. Oh yeah, it snowed last night, that could have something to do with it being dead.

Hoist one for all your ancestors you never met that met a bad end.

Hoist one for all that serve abroad and fight and never bend.

Bless my son for what he does and suffers through,

God Bless America, and all that's good and true.

To my grandfather, who joined the Ladies from Hell during WW1
To my uncle who served in the Navy during WW2
To my dad who served in the Navy during Vietnam
To my uncle who was Master Cheif of the Boat during the Cold War and ran gunboats up the delta during Vietnam.
To my coworker shot down twice in Vietnam.
To my nephews in the Marines who are serving today.
To my friend in the French Army whom I have several disagreements with who is in Afghanistan today.

To all their friends who are not with us today. To those I've known who have died in this current conflict.

I'll remember you and make sure a few drinks are hoisted your way.

Disclaimer, Crystal and I both signed up, suited up but our youthful indiscretions caught up to us in basic and inclined Uncle Sam to send us packing. Oh well, we tried. We'll keep the home fires burning.
