Wait. Were do we submit it? I thought there used to be a Submissions thread at one time but can't seem to locate it. So submit directly to the magazine?

This may not even be a thing. It sounded to me like they were just thinking out loud on the call.

Yea, It's not exactly what was requested.

FKR asked for some stories on "what does the board mean to you?" Why is it important?

Then, we talked about Oett and AD meeting and getting married. This illustrates how important the board was to them, as an example.

These are the stories he's after. Not "What you were doing when you joined the board."

I personally think "why did you join the board" has some value and this seems like something that can easily tie in with the original question. For example, what attracted you to the board? Was it the stories? The booze news? The humor? This is only my opinion, which I spoke about on Friday night. Which might be how the misunderstanding started.

I asked about word count and he said it could be any length.

He said he's looking for "about five" statements.

I asked about deadline and he said "we want to do this in November, so you have about two months."

We also talked about the fallen members and he said he wanted to pay tribute to them (he did not ask for assistance on this).

That’s what was discussed on a call between Hugh, Rye, the lamp post and I.

See DB's quoted text. Please share and submit your stories to [email protected] for the 25th anniversary edition of the magazine, ASAP!

Speaking of deadlines, now is the time to order your friends and loved ones some MDM merch for Christmas as well, while yer at it.
Tis the season and time is drawing nigh, drunkards!

I was drinking heavily in NYC and looking for drinking websites, I'm not sure what happened next but DJF was there, and there was a chat room and everything went sideways. Rowdy was there, it was a haze of Toni and Dr. P, Vegas happened, and then I was in California. Voila.
Good to read from you again my friend. Hope we'll meet some sunny day.
Back in USA for 5months starting from October 31th. If there is a possibility, we'll meet.

I was in Tumbleweed Junction, brand new to the internet. Padraig and Franken and Barcalounger were talking about booze and explained to me that I had to register. (We had only had the internet for a couple of months)

I was drinking bourbon, because, bourbon. Trying to keep the cat hair out (my daughter rescued a hungry kitty) She did not drink my bourbon, but she did enjoy sniffing it and shedding a few hair bombs in it. I had one of those ancient beige blob computers and an old USMC metal desk that some Marines wrassled upstairs for me, so I no longer had to sit on the floor with the computer on a cardboard box. Underneath the desk was a nice place to nap when the bourbon made me tired.

We had both, the blob puter and the badly welded table. My mom used to play dos games and get drunk on it. More often than not the keyboard was wine-stained and had cigarette burns all over

I had been reading MDM for years, I was crossing the Pacific on a boxboat when I found the chat board, I has having a Whiskey in my stateroom, and using the onboard wifi, when I noticed the link for the chat board, on the MDM web sight, so I joined, so far it's been great.

It is amazing how a bourbon-coke can fry a keyboard.

I lived in Texas for 7 years starting in 2000. One of the guys I worked with had a number of issues of MDM at his workstation in the engineering lab we worked in. That was my first exposure to the madness of Modern Drunkard.

Fast forward a few years, I'm back in my birth State of Minnesota and started looking through old web links. Noticed "MD" had an "F" and signed up.

I'm no where near consistent in my posting here... But I do enjoy the repartee.
