Drunk at work

Post by 3 »

I work at home. I trade stock. A lot of stock. For a lot of people. I'm extremely good at it.

That said, I'm routinely loaded before noon and trade drunk much of the time.

For those of you who have to work (gasp) in an actual place of employment that is not your house, how do you do it?
"Well I took a fifth, and I poured me a shot.
And I thought about all the things that I haven't got,
And I drank that down, and I poured me some more
Kept drinking and pouring till I felt the floor"

Sneak it. There's a candy store right down the block from my office. get a pop and a couple little bottles, dump them in the pop, and have a happy Friday afternoon!

Ginger, where are you from?

I only ask because

you called it 'pop'.

Yanks generally call it 'soda' (while I snicker).

Unfortunately I live in a city where you have to drive... so like most people I have to stay undrunk and then hit the bottle like its a religion when I get home.

Here in the Great NW. Calling it 'soda' is just weird to me, for some reason.

I crawl into the office and usually have it to myself for the first couple of hours, so I can sit and wallow in my half-drunken state. Many times I get into the office and I'm still drunk. Like right now, actually.

Coffee + Bailey's or some other mixer that can easily be taken for one of those International Coffee's mixer thingys....They even have a Kaluha Flavor....which goes well with........

train driving really doesnt allow boozing on the job so i generally have to save myself for nights before days off or long hours in between working times (like switching from early shift to late shift)
mine's a pint

Hallelujah finally remembered my password (and that I signed up to the site). Anyhow boozing at work is all good for me, currently a student (yeah I know scum of the earth, but gimme a break I'm post grad now-paying my own way and all) and working at a local warehouse where it's pretty much mandatory to have a couple down the local at lunch with the lads( the few who refused didn't last long) and then stop off on the way home for a quick one(which is often the precursor to a much slower half dozen). Bringing in a hip flask barely raises an eyebrow any more. As for uni days I don't think anyone does those undrunk students or lecturers

I get drunk at work

Post by SamBam »

Yes I do. It's hard not to when you work in a night club.
I am responsible until the last hour of my shift then I practically swim in Manhattan's.
I love my job.
I don't drink to forget the bad times. I drink to make good times.
