It's difficult to comment on anybody elses drinking 'cause we're all wired up different, if my doc told me to back off, I would for a while, but you really can't tell what's best health wise

I won't stop drinking, I just stopped going to the doctor.

same here, even though the doctor is free. Might just be because I'm young, so I can't die

It's "hear, hear!". But I can still drink a lot if I want to right?

Liver question

Post by prbobo »

Science question for you drunks. So the rule of thumb is the average liver can process one drink an hour. But for those of us who routinely punish said liver, does that rule still apply or do we process it quicker?

We do it quicker, but progress is being made incredibly slow through a human life span. Your DNA counts more than the training in that field, which is extremely unfair.

DNA and tolerance play a big role, but you liver can only process a little at a time. In cases where peoples livers start to fail, or cerocis, or whatever, the liver processes less. A textbook functioning alcoholic towards the end of his career could get compleatly drunk of a small amount of alcohol and stay drunk for longer because the liver dosnt process it any more, or at a way slower rate.
