who remembers "Shake-a-Day" ?
not delirium tremors, but the dice game most mountain taverns used to have behind the bar to suck an extra $1 out of you usually to support their cocaine habit or pay old bar tabs. I miss that game. Think the do-gooders made it illegal in the 90's in Colorado (prol still have it MN, MT or Alaska)

Never heard of it. Dear Booze talks about a dice drinking game they have in Cali but I'd love to here more. What was the basic jist? Was it like liars dice?

We shake dice for happy hour drinks at the local. One number is half off your drink, one number a $0.50 drink, the other four full price/shit out of luck.
4-5-6 is also pretty popular at the bar. Both for money and drinks.

$1 a shake, one per day(depending on how much they liked you, you could get more than one roll), was usually 5 numbers written on a chalkboard, if you rolled them, you won all the dollars in the jar. Kinda like a personal lottery run by the bar. Sometimes the pots got pretty large in an honest bar, not meaning to insinuate bars or employees ever stole money from the jar.

The singular form of dice is die. This is bound to be all sorts of extra confusing for Germans.

Liar's Dice is a great one. Also, "Ace four twenty-four," and "7-14-21."

Our local Elks Lodge has a "Shake-a-day." Here's the basics: At some point, someone (probably a bartender) rolled 5 dice and wrote the result of that single roll on a pice of paper that got taped to side of a pickle jar. Let's say it's "1-3-3-5-6". To play, you put a dollar in the jar and try to match that in one single roll.whiskeyprick wrote: ↑Thu Jul 06, 2023 2:26 amnot delirium tremors, but the dice game most mountain taverns used to have behind the bar to suck an extra $1 out of you usually to support their cocaine habit or pay old bar tabs. I think the person who eventually rolls the correct combination wins half the pot.

Didn't we Skype a game of 7-14-21? Me, you, Kam and someone else. Who ever lost the round the other guys picked their next shot.Dear Booze wrote: ↑Thu Jul 13, 2023 9:19 pmLiar's Dice is a great one. Also, "Ace four twenty-four," and "7-14-21."

Yes! I remember that. I think it was early pandemic stuff. You know, back when bars being closed was a simple novelty.Patchez wrote: ↑Fri Jul 14, 2023 12:16 pmDidn't we Skype a game of 7-14-21? We played that a lot.
I guess atleast. I`m too lazy to elaborate our rules. But you had to always top your right hand`s player`s score and if nescessary lie to the player on the left?
