You should read this and remember that sarcasm is the lowest form of humor.

I love sarcasm...it's fun
Drinking Sailor Jerry gives me stinky falutes, hurts my nose.well, us small-minded folk loves us some sarcasm. you can go sit in your tower with your high-falutin friends and look down your noses at us. that just means that we have the fun...

I'm probably the last one you'd expect to step up and defend Saturn, but I'm going to with regard to this thread. While you may not agree with his posts, he's at least putting thought into them and furthering the discussion. Ad hominem broadside attacks *ahem, Captain Underpants* add nothing to the thread.
Carry on.
Carry on.
why is my moral compass always pointed east? that's the direction of the nearest liquor store.

In a democratic nation you don't give up on the system every time your interests aren't served. If at first you don't succeed, try try again. The last thing we want in this country is all of the people voting the same way. The only way to achieve that end would be through intimidation.
I agree basically. However, if there was a chance of my kids being sent off to commit atrocities on people of a different nation/culture during an illegal occupation, then I would definitely consider moving to a different country to protect them. I believe in fighting for what is right, and Iraq was never and will never be right, no matter how much spin/lies Bush and the Republicans spew forth. Fuck them and all the terrorists they are creating and have created by illegally invading and occupying a foreign nation. How funny (not) that everything us peace-loving liberals predicted might happen if we invaded Iraq has happened, and everything Bush and the Republicans who wanted the war predicted would happen is all bullshit. Hey, but at least we can still call our French Fries, Freedom Fries. Boy, that makes me feel good. heh
As for the last part, Steved, you must not be following the Alberto Gonzales (aka torture boy) scandal, or you would know that is exactly what Bush and the Republicans had in mind . . . supressing Democratic voter turnout through intimidation. Boy, I can't wait until these schmucks are out of office. Too bad they will never be inside a jail cell, where they belong.
As for the original intent of this thread, I'll be happy to vote for Obama . . . experience, puhleeze . . . all you need to do is look at our current President to see that anyone with a medium sized brain can do a better job with or without experience. And I have no doubt that Obama is smart enough to pick people with brains and experience to do the job, not just "loyal Bushies", like that Brownie who did a heck-of-a-job, hee hee. After Bush, I don't think experience matters so much anymore. We just need someone with half a brain, who can think for themselves, not be afraid to testify under oath and tell the truth, read and understand the Constitution and international human rights laws, use diplomacy before the use of force, and accept science and scientific facts over screwy religious beliefs. Imagine if Bush had any of these attributes, how much better our world would be today.
I'm not so think as you drunk I am.

I can't vote for Obama, he's anti-2nd Amendment, pro-Patriot Act, and supports giving my social security dollars to illegal aliens.

Ron Paul is about as close to an acceptable choice as I've seen from the "2 party" monopoly in a while.
I'm sure the Dems will fuck up by offending middle of the road voters with that carpetbagger Clinton, then cry about it being because she is a woman. I don't hate her cause she is a woman, I hate her because she supports everything I hate.
