Christ on a caviar-covered crouton. You were warned not to mingle with the filthy unwashed. Spill it, you non-Mayflower wannabe. Who are your under-achieving little friends filling your bourgeois litterbox? This is the very last time you will be bailed out. Dam your fat hide, never again.

Sidetracked, sorry. As NYDingbat stated in her first post, "9/11". Right then. Carry on.

Honestly, I just filled out my Census. They ask you where you live, what's your birthday, if you're a dude or a chick, and if you're not white or black, then what Latin Country or Pacific Island you're from.

Oh that's fucking stupid. The CBC's been retarded about that lately. The internet is supposed to be the peoples' free zone. Our own pathetically small liberated area. And I love the CBC....

Actually, one of their own programs has ridiculed their blocking of viewing of their content in other countries, and still they've changed nothing.

Anyway, that was a video of Fidel Castro in 1959 talking about his movement. It's interesting. He talks positively of the people of the United States as well as Canada. He spoke, in few words, about democracy and the stifling of opinions that occurs, and again in few words, how big business is as oppressive as big government. Cuba has not made it past the dictatorship of the proletariat.... if Raul does not cave in to pressure from the United States, Cuba could probably do well for themselves. They are, after all, a nation of well educated people.... impoverished as they are.

Cuba would do very well indeed without they tyranny they live under today. Just think, before castro came to power, cuba was the place to be in the carribean. All the rich and famous went there to party it up and drink, gamble, that sort of thing. Cuba would be so much better off without castro, for the obvious reasons of freedom, but economically as well, it would be a huge tourist draw.

On to the topic at hand. NOTHING IS FREE!!! How much plainer can i make it. People pay for it in one form or another. I know, only the rich will pay as the marxist in chief said. What he doesn't tell you is that the people who own the businesses and make things work, pass those costs on to the customer, in other words, you. You will pay in the end and the very people who he claims to want to help will be hit the hardest. I know, shouldn't call names, shouldn't call obama a marxist and all that stuff, well, i'll stop doing it when he stops acting like one. Take over auto comanies, healthcare, student loans, banks, regulate everything imaginable under the FCC and the EPA, shit congress wouldn't do, let's just get around that with orders congress can't control. We are sliding in some scary shit people. Your drinks and smokes are next, food they determine unhealthy come after that. Any government powerful enough to give you everything you want is powerful enough to take everything you have, some old crazy guy said something to that effect once, I think his name was Jefferson, from back east somewhere.
I agree, Blue. Being uninsured, I was for it, at first, then I found out I will have to pay for all my employees. My booze is already priced too high.

Actually before Castro, Cubans suffered mightily. All the rich and famous went there for a reason -- big business had their hold through a dictator that catered to America. That's the reason Castro existed as he did in the first place.

He was, however, a better man at the start. I think once he took his position, the fear of failure of their goals corrupted the whole operation. Raul has the same politics as his brother, but I do hope he follows through with them without being as hard on the people in fear of dissent.

America has been a major cause in the total fucking of Cuba. And I mean no matter the politics of America or Cuba. It was Kennedy, really, as a democrat who fucked Cuba right off the bat. Bay of Pigs, the embargo....jesus christ. Leave the country to operate as it will. I'm sure it would have done brilliantly.

Cuba never tried to take over countries across the world for the sake of oil, hm? I wonder where the problem arose.... I'm not looking at the American people, but I am looking at Rockefeller and the rest...... Imperial Oil, Texaco, &c.

I have huge sympathy for the cuban people. anyone willing to ride a igloo cooler over 90 miles of ocean to get away from there has got balls of solid rock. And Castro was more than just a little hard on the people, like most dictatorships, he imprissoned dissenters and murdered them and their families. That fucker needs to die along with his brother and perhaps the people of cuba will come around and overthrow the communists.

I've always noticed the irony of the fact that US citizens who are living in "The Land Of The Free" cannot legally visit Cuba.
Strange.
