"QUOTATION, n.
The act of repeating erroneously the words of another. The words erroneously repeated."
— Ambrose Bierce, The Devil's Dictionary.*

No, not picking on any one person on this board in any thread, just the tendency for 99% of quotations on the Internet to be incorrect and attributed to the wrong person.

It still bugs me every time someone claims that Benjamin Franklin said that beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy.

Ok, I got that off my chest. Time to DRINK!

I was born here.

Not sure how much more "native" I need to be since the rest of the fuckers on this Continent also came from somewhere else if you go back far enough.

Number crunching:
Total Deaths by the (allegedly) incurable Ebola virus, To Date = 4,912
Total deaths per year by, easily treatable, malaria, each year >7,000

Oh, what a lovely World...

Have any of you bothered to read the stuff in my "signature" (second line down)? Where I made the same point, albeit satirically, a few years back?

Or Willies.
And what makes you think that Mr Willies is not of that bloodstock?

yes i did. You know Lincoln wasn't even born before the first internet had collapsed. It was developed by the illuminati (or lizrd race if you prefer) but fell apart in the power vacuum after Bono's crucifiction

Lincoln mistook you for a vampire and was about to come get you for doing that. But don't worry. I think I convinced Honest Abe that it was all in good fun.

Still, watch yah back. I have no control over these dead presidents.

In German US Americans are just Amerikaner, Canadians Kanadier, Latin Americans Lateinamerikaner.
Without further specification American means US American here.

Regarding Ebola:
As long as you don't carry bloody West African bodies and don't wear "ebola green" you won't get it.
We have to wait for other pestilences pumped up by the media.
I bet that some new flu will be the next hit. Again.
