I just can't. Liz was one of the sunniest people I ever knew. My thoughts go out to her loved ones.

l... Her handle told us all we needed to know. Small L followed by the mysterious ellipsis. The small L representing how unassuming and unaware of how important she was to so many. The ellipsis as a symbol of her uncertain future.

She loved many and was loved by many more. And our li'l nomad has finally found a place to settle.

And now that she's joined Mayhem and Bella and 10 High in that exclusive joint in the sky, I only hope that as each of us passes into Heaven our dear Liz will be there at the Gates as St. Peter checks his list and she says to him in no uncertain terms, "Oh, don't bother checking your list, they're with me."

I told her dad she wanted to be cremated as she'd made me promise to do many times over the years. He got back to me today and assured me that will happen. She will be cremated tomorrow. Obviously this is a promise I hoped I would never have to keep. But it's done.

One of my favorite memories of Liz involves her trying to find a way to re-up her social security number. She had no ID on her, could not get a state ID without her social security card or birth certificate, and she could not get either of those. We ended up finagling our ways through some red tape at two in the morning online to find the right place to harass in the Louisiana military installation where she was born, and in the end she was able to get what she needed.

The entire time we were sending links back and forth, she vacillated between "Oh my God, thank you," to "Fuck this shit. I hate red tape!" It was as if Taz himself was spinning on the other end of the 'puter.

She was a sweet person who never seemed to want to hurt anyone. I hope you are at peace, Liz.

i wanted to respond to oggar's original post, but I was too emotional. still am.
i find it hard to cope with the loss of someone who I always knew was there for me, even though I never even met her, and that she had countless other friends who counted on her for the same thing.
I'm not so think as you drunk I am.

I am terribly sorry to hear this. My heart goes out to all of you that held her close.

I've pretty much been drunk for the last 3 weeks or so, but Lizbet, I still have those tiny little Cinderella shoes. I guess I'll send them back to Goodwill. My size 8 boats could never wear them.

well, I guess they would make some kind of strange hipster earrings.

Fuck.
We chatted years ago...When I was still a fucking newbie, she drank with me.
I hate coming back to see this.
Rest In Peace, Liz.
