Raising one for another fallen old-timer

Post by fdoosey »

I was talking to Mayhem, and said I hadn't been here in forever, but another old timer has left us.

I can't even remember her name here, but Fiona Fort was an Aussie who frequented this place ages ago, and only today I learned the lovely lady took her own life back in March. She was a good friend to me and several of you, and I for one feel a big hole inside today knowing we won't shoot the shit again in this world.

Hopefully the bar on the other side is well stocked and she and Mr. Flask are having a round and making the most obscene fun of us.

I haven't been drinking for health reasons, but that's going to hell tonight in her honor.

Rest in peace, my friend.

She was a crazy person. She was seriously split personality. I did not get along with her. Sorry guys.

I have never met her but hope it will be better for her on the other side: anyone who committed suicide has already had enough shit on this side.

I know she didn't exactly get along with everyone here. I remember some of the back and forth about it. I was actually torn about posting it, but I figured those who did may not know what happened.

Never knew her, but I'm sorry to hear this. Depression is a very difficult issue to deal with or speak about. R.I.P.

Never met her, but I'm always sorry to see a kindred spirit pass, no matter how messed up they were. we all have our own issues to varying degrees.

I feel bad for the hurt, sadness and sorrow that may have lead her to her end. She was amusing at times, and perplexing at others; I only had experience with her on this messageboard.

She had two husbands who also committed suicide. She met them in a suicide support group.

I'll raise a glass in memory of a fellow drunkard.

God bless!
