not a drinking film in the literal sense, but Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas is a crazy, drug-induced, counter-culture icon

I have a newfound respect for vegetarians. With all the good enjoyable things they cut out of their diets, they still leave in alcohol.

The book is always better than the movie, but you got to give it to Terry Gilliam for staying so close to the book.
