I've seen a lot of the classics, Barfly, Lost Weekend, Withnail and I, Wine and Roses, and I like those but I also still like Swingers, The Punisher, Beerfest, et cetera.

There is a good amount of drinking in Good Will Hunting.

I mean, the guys go to a Little League game and bring beer. I think this board can approve of that sort of behavior.

You brought it up before, but I'll respect the reiteration because last time I was the only one who concurred, and I think it should be more universally accepted.
Also, with the batting cages just a 10 minute walk on the other side of the golf-course from my house, I think I know what I'm gonna do this summer.

And the Always Sunny where Charlie tries to "Good Will Hunting" the Penn kids is great.

The home movies from around my house when I was a kid. Man, the parents and their friends really used to booze it up. But we didn't have a video camera so these movies do not exist. However, I am selling tickets to see these non-existent films. The tickets are printed on sheets of acid.
I'll miss you, pallie.

I'll take 2. I have not seen a non-existent film in a long time.

I'm currently watching Withnail And I, while drinking a glass of home-brewed stout and wearing my duvet like a snuggie. I'm not sure it gets much better than this ;)

PS I recommend Animal House to this topic. It's aged quite well, all things considered. The local indie movie theatre showed it last month and it was genuinely exciting to watch on the big screen, remastered. Especially since this place allows you to bring in your own booze.
Let us have wine and women, mirth and laughter,
Sermons and soda water the day after.

www.drunchblog.com <- it's full of pictures of epic breakfasts made by me and my friends. That's about it.

Porky's is another movie that aged well. If it came out today in its original form I think it'd still be really popular. Howard Stern owns the production rights to it and there was talk about re-making it, but I don't think it can be done any better.

Sometimes I fear all those crazy Christian/right-wing media watchers are correct, and movies/pop culture affect our daily choices negatively. All's I know is the only time I ever got kicked out of a bar, I'd started the night with Misters Evan Williams and Bogart in IN A LONELY PLACE. In which he drank. A lot. Oh wells. When I see people drinking in a movie or TV show, I feel I should join in. Only polite, right?

ha! Sometimes I'm attempting to not drink for whatever reason, so I put on a movie or show and at the first mention or sight of alcohol, I'm drinking with the cast. it's like it's cheering you on.

Sex, drugs & rock? This makes me want to drink more, for some reason:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VqSPYcYn ... re=related

Never wore makeup. But I was young at the time and liked bands like Y&T, Tesla..Guns n´ Roses were more like an 70´s band. That´s probably why I loved them back in the day. Axl & Hired Guns don´t even compare. Motley Crue was always kinda shitty, Vince can´t sing. Nikki Suxx at bass...Mick Mars is propably the only half-decent person of that band.

Anyway, there should be some drinking and drugs in this...where can I get the dvd?

I have The Thin Man on VHS. Haven't watched it in years. My dad bought it for me because it was one of his favourites. Shoulda known.
