The Marx Brothers
Any of you folks know their movies well? I've been meaning to watch one of their movies for a long time and want to know what a good one is to rent.

Re: The Marx Brothers
Any of the first five; The Coconuts, Animal Crackers, Monkey Business, Horse Feathers and Duck Soup are good. These earliest feature films have all of the 4 performing Marx Bros; Groucho, Harpo, Chico and Zeppo (a fifth brother, Gummo, was their booking agent). Not long after Duck Soup, Zeppo, who was never more than a sidekick/straight-man in these films, retired from acting and joined Gummo in the booking business.Whisky Guy wrote:Any of you folks know their movies well? Of their later films, A Night At The Opera and A Day At The Races are the best.
Their humor is somewhat slapstick and may seem rather dated; complete with vaudeville theater-props and makeup. But of the comedy-ensemble genre of film, these movies are considered classics.

Thanks! I really like old "dated" movies like that. Its where a lot of today's saying and cliches came from. My better half and I have a pack of old horror movies, all black and white, and its cool to see where much of stuff from today came from.

I asked for a flat bottom, but the girl at the boathouse didn't have one.
