Honestly, my favorite gangster film is Miller's Crossing. (Not saying theat it's better than Godfather, just a matter of preference.)

I do wear big glasses. My noggin is just larger than most piano players. It is an optical illusion.

The baptism scene from the first one has to be one of the finest sequences ever put to film. It's so goddamn menacing.

As far as 3 is concerned, I keep trying to like it, regardless of how awful it is in the context of the other films, but just can't find anything redeeming about it. By that time Pacino had become some weird, shouting caricature of an actor who's only believable as a screaming blind man who drives Ferraris.
I like the part where young Vito Corleone loved his family, came to eventually become the Godfather, and avenged his family deaths in Sicily. Oh yeah, but that's in the second one, isn't it?

How the hell Goodfellas lost the Oscar to that douchey Kevin Costner flick Dances With Wolves never ceases to piss me off.
Logic goes out the window when large sums of money are involved.

Everyone knows what the problems are, but fixing them would be a giant pain in the ass.

I just read some Godfather trivia that said that the horse head in the bed scene was so real because the actor wasn't expecting the very real horse head that they put there. Supposedly they got it from a dog food company. No wonder the blood looked so real.

Just sayin': This is pretty much every character Pacino's ever played since about 1990.
