Livening things up with a Booze Film Review

Post by TheBigCasino »

I belive this was film review number 11, whatever. It may seem dated because I think, I have to check the original post date, it's about a year old. sorry for the delay. Enjoy, and if you're not drinking, start drinking.
I just checked, this is from November of last year.

Battle of the sequels!
THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU HAVE BEEN DRINKING FOR FIVE DAYS STRAIGHT.
fucking caps lock dude, I got excited.
that fucking BMMC, I was tecting him today, and his girlfriend Sarge.

ok yeah whatever, let's get back to business here.

Oh Holy shit!

sequels...

Well not really a battle, the best sequel I’ve ever seen was of course, Empire
Image

It’s big, grand and literally, has it all.
Image

this was probably, and we all knew another was coming dso, i was hanging by a thread waiting for Return of the Jedi, as younng as I was, and seeing that film, it changed me, filmmaking can be dark, Empire, and probably Watership Down taught a generation that, sometimes, there really isn't a happy ending
Image

Anopther good sequel that gets press but nowhere near as much as it should
Image

Another hidden gem, and believe it or not, ranks right up there with Empire and Superman II was the little seen sequel to Pitch Black
Image

If you haven’t seen Pitch Black
Image

it’s pretty good, nobody is going crazy over it, but overall, it’s a good film.
Image

We all know Sci Fi very fucking well, this is true. This film, I swear, the set designs, the costume designs, these motherfuckers built this motherfucker from the ground up.
Image

This film bears zero resemblence to any sci fi film I have ever seen.
Image
It is completely original
And on top of that, very well done.
Image
I don’t rate movies on that whole 4 or 5 star scale, I rate them on how much it costs to see them, and what- in my opinion, should be paid to see them.
When Chronicles came out, it was what, 8 bucks to see a movie, this shit is worth every penny. I woulda been happy paying ten to see this shit.
Worth every penny.
Image
As you may have guessed, this film follows our hero from Pitch Black “Riddick”, played by mister “I live my life a quarter of a mile at a time” ( what the fuck does that even mean??) Vin Diesel.
Image
It goes without saying that Vin Diesel is an absolute badass, I will say, almost too cartoonish, but still good, it’s Sci Fi so you gotta let shit slide.
Image

I would probably consider this film a road movie, I love road movies.
Image

the thing about these films, both Pitch Black and Chronicles, is that, we are following the adventures of Riddick. Let's be clear here. Riddick is the bad guy, we are essentially following, and rooting for a villain. There is no charming Han Solo or Ash from Army of Darkness, no, Riddick is actually bad. This is our "hero".
Image

There are multiple plants, personalities, and storylines. TIME OUT, WHAT THE FUCK IS JUDI DENCH DOING IN A SCI FI FILM, WHAT THE HELL
Image

One charcter however, seen here
Image

bares a tad bit more than a passing resemblance to another science fiction icon
Image

Everything matters and everything fits, it’s a perfect puzzle of a film.
Image
I’ve seen this film, easily, 100 times, and I always notice something new each time.
The storyline is so intricate, I swear, the script musta weighed a hundred pounds.
I’ve rarely seen, in any movie, so many characters handled so well.
Image

I mean, this is like, Shakespearean levels of Character juggling here.
And it’s pulled off perfectly.
Image
Once I saw it was written by David Twohy, the man, he is probably the best science fiction screenwriter out there, and the only person who could write this film.
The Chronicles of Riddick crushes Star Wars Ep 1, 2 and 3 and The Return of the Jedi, and, get this, is even better than - Aliens…
Yes, I went there.
If you ever get the oppurtunity to see this film, do so. A terrific sequel. This is how you do it, this is precisely how you do it.
Image

drink up and enjoy.

No offense intended but wtf does this have to do with drinking??? and don't give us the lame excuse theres one scene for like 10 seconds where they down a drink once the entire movie or down a few beers in a bar and that qualifies it as a drunkard movie. If the movie doesn't contain a substantial amount of drinking done on screen then its safe to call this review off topic for this board. Stick this crap in the general board otherwise. What the hell does the empire strike back have to do with getting hammered???

Twisted Logic. Anyone else find this off topic?

Please inform me as to what you will do if I don't, the interwebz being serious business and all that jazz.

Just out of curiosity, where on Earth did you get Resident Evil from?

was just kidding on the RE thing i threw in for a bazinga. Anyways to the op pretty much any movie is better drunk so your argument is invalid. If you gonna do movie reviews at least do it about movies related to drinking to a certain degree otherwise its just a moron yammering about movies. Review stuff related to drinking as otherwise you just sound like a crazy retard and since we aren't in your head it might as well be a foreign language and doesn't sound funny or interesting Leasts that the impression i'm getting but don't wanna speak for everyone. Anyone else find this review kinda stupid and uninteresting?

Otherwise i'm gonna geet drunk and do a review for my little pony friendship is magic

Actually, I wasn't arguing about anything so you might as well tell me what my argument is.

What I choose to review isn't really up to you, so... yeah..
Review stuff related to drinking as otherwise you just sound like a crazy retard and since we aren't in your head it might as well be a foreign language and doesn't sound funny or interesting Leasts that the impression i'm getting but don't wanna speak for everyone
Again, I'll do as I wish, as will you. If you wanna review a drinking movie, go right ahead, I look forward to it.

By the way, "moron", " crazy retard"? is that the best you've got? Come on man. I'll text BeermakesMe and have him come on here to help you out.

Awesome. I tried to order a copy of the Chronicles of Riddick on HD DVD from Amazon, but the guy sent me an email saying it was only the standard DVD version. Bastard.
