Looking through this thread it seems much is focused on metal bands. Might I suggest:
1. Searching for Sugarman
2. The Funk Brothers
3. Mussel Shoals the documentary.

I've seen the Mussel Shoal one. Been wanting to catch the other two.

Patchez: Searching for Sugarman is very good and it will uplift you in the end. No drunk calamities...
