Bourbon and Country music go so well together. Ive been on a beer fling for a couple weeks now though. I love a good high proof bourbon like Old Grandad 100 and some Merle Haggard, Johhny Cash, George Jones ,etc.

I find that folk-type music or otherwise mostly acoustic stuff is often good. I've been listening to folk/swing stuff lately like The Wiyos and the Squirrel Nut Zippers. Good stuff, and they even sing about booze too.

Folk is awesome... it resonates with the core of your being... plus you get good drinking songs ("Drinking Wine Spodie-Odie", "Hot corn, Cold Corn", "The Moonshiner", "Mountain Dew", etc) and almost every Irish folk song mentions drinking ("The wild rover", "Whiskey in the Jar", "Rosin the Bow", "I'm a Rover" etc.)
