Fun fact: Type O Negative's Blood & Fire was on the original Mortal Kombat OST, one of my two first CD purchases as a kid (the other being Enigma's Le Roi Est Mort, Vive Le Roi!).
Don't worry. We're in no hurry.

I think the first CD I bought myself was either Green Jelly - 333 (which I still have) or Weird Al - In 3D (which I lost a looong time back). The first CD I ever owned was Metallica - Ride the Lightning. I don't have that exact disc but I do have that CD.

I have so many CDs stashed away catching dust somewhere. Unlike LPs they`re not even very collectable.

I do have some rarities (that would fetch me 20 bucks on ebay tops...) in there though

Back when I started collecting vinyl from VOAs and Goodwills (Charity shops to Europeans?) in the late 90's vinyl was fairly dirt cheap. It was practically being thrown away. For people like me just getting into that kind of music(Black Sabbth,cAC/DC, Deep Purple, etc) and finding it for next to nothing was beyond awesome.

CDs are klind of like that today. But it'smore likely you'll find rock music from the 90's/early 2000's than anything from 70's/80's.

Probably my favorite metal band after Nihill.

I really like Swans -- Blind. Haven't explored them much though. Do you recommend a deep dive?

I always recommend a deep dive on a band you're interested in. I mainly stick to Swans' earliest output. After 1986 Swans are hit or miss for me. Sadly often a miss, but their newest stuff is growing very slowly on me.
