What is your favorite Elton John song?

Post by Lushlife »

Okay, I know that this could be NBR and mods, feel free to move it there, but I wouldn't be posting this if I weren't drunk. I'm just interested in people's responses. I'm just sort of stumbling through my Shareaza library and listening to Tiny Dancer and that is what prompted this inquiry. For me it's a toss up between Tiny Dancer and Rocket Man. And don't tell me that there isn't a single Elton John song that you like because...well, how is that possible?

The Bitch Is Back.

Or maybe I Don't Want To Go On With You Like That. But I wouldn't admit that IRL. :-P

This might be the only time Lushlife and I are ever in complete agreement. Rocket Man is the only Elton John song I truly love, but "Hold me close, Tony Danza" is probably my favorite lyric of the seventies.

Reginald Kenneth Dwight is one strange dude, but he wrote some great songs. Except Daniel.

"Are you ready for love?" is the only Elton John song worth listening to.

I'm Still Standing.

Ironically, the only time I ever play it nowadays is when I'm not capable of standing.
