Cape Cod Redux

Post by ivan »

In a rocks glass:

Fill 2/3 full of crushed ice, squeeze in one lime wedge.*

Add:
3 oz. chilled Vodka
1/2 to 1 oz. 100% cranberry juice. Not "cranberry juice cocktail". I'm talking about the stuff available at the health food store where the white guy with dreadlocks and the skinny girl who passionately feels for Tibet and smells of Patchouli work for the old lady with a compost garden in her backyard.
Top with club soda to taste.

Sublime.

*Every drink I make begins this way. I often prepare my glass like this before even choosing the drink I'm going to make.

I believe this is what the man has in mind (sorry, no crushed ice on hand).

Had one last night, but I wasn't sure which direction to toast toward. Cheers Ivan.

I love crushed ice but I mix my Vodka, soda and Wine too strong. It melts to fast and waters it down unless you are doing the drink justice and not messing around time wise drinking it.

add a splash of pineapple-orange juice to it, and you have yourself a happydrink!
