Bourbon Slurpee

This is a great after-work drink.

1) Go by the 7-11 nearest to your home on a hot day.

2) Get the 40 oz Coke Slurpee

3) Transport the Slurpee to your home or brink 4 oz of bourbon with you to the 7-11.

4) Explore the other Slurpee possibilities and report back.

What exactly is a slurpee? I've had vodka slushies before.

It is, in fact, a slushie. The 7-11 convenience stores are pretty ubiquitous here. And they sell a lot of slurpees in all kind of soda flavors, and some unique flavors.

I was introduced to the vodka slushie by my mad drunkard neighbour (who happens to own the local post office). To those unitiated in its wonders, it may seem like a girly drink, and indeed many girls do drink it. However, it makes a wonderful summer drink, given a proper vodka - slushie ratio. Think a fairly sweet vodka mixed drink with the ice already added.

Next time I get some bourbon, I must try this.

The slurpee will keep melting as you're driving home. So by the time you get it indoors you may have drunk half the slurpee. To be certain, more booze can be introduced. Might an Everclear and Mountain Dew slurpee be on the horizon?
