I'd like to see something with a bit more booze content to represent our fair State.

Alrighty, then. How bout this...

Minnie the Hoocher

3 oz Windsor Canadian (or like cheap Canadian style blend whiskey)
2 oz Phillips Vodka (or any like cheap, cheap, cheap vodka)
2 tsp Frozen Orange Juice Concentrate
3 oz. Grain Belt Premium Beer
1 dash Bitters

Add ice to a 16 oz. plastic keg cup. Pour Windsor and Phillips. Stir in Frozen concentrate OJ (may substitute with Tang if truly desperate). Add the "Premium" (slamming remainder of beer bottle) and then bitters. Serve with vomit bucket.

I call this the Nebraska Iced Tea, as that is where I was living when I started mixing it.

Ingredients:
One large tumbler of ice
6 oz sun brewed iced tea.
1 oz triple sec
1/2 oz mango rum
1/2 bourbon

The triple sec and mango rum give the tea a nice sweet flavor and the bourbon addds just a little bit of a kick. It will take long time to get drunk while drinking these. That's why I sometimes bump the bourbon up to 2 oz and leave the mango out altogether. Either way, I find it quite tasty.
take care

Hi guys, we have wimpy 3 point God fearing beer here, so my state drink compensates.

The Daily Oklahoman

1 third Lime Gin

2 thirds Orange Juice

1 beer bong.

Mix the gin and juice together in a 12 ounce blue Walmart tumbler, yes the kind that's 4 for a dollar. Pour libation into a crude, homemade beer bong and slam it. It's so sickly sweet and quick, you will reach oblivion before you dumb pals wrap up their second Bud Lite.

Oklahoma is OK!

No, no, it's okay, I'm good!

Great thread. Am I mistaken in thinking that Bourbon was classified as America's national drink in some capacity? Was that a dream? (Usually my dreams involve piloting a spacecraft and saving this or that species from extermination...) I'm thinking Bourbon had some national distinction somewhere.

To my knowledge, Bourbon is the only hard liquor to originate in the US. Many of the classic State cocktails developed last century make use of it. As far as being a national drink, if it isn't already than it certainly deserves campaign to be so.

For Pennsylvania, I would have to go with the biggest glass that you can commandeer and fill it to the brim with Rye Whiskey. That's just me though. Although not a U.S. state related cocktails, I'd like to remind all of you beautiful drunkards of two classic Bermudian cocktails.

Dark and Stormy

- 2 oz. Gosling's Black Seal Rum
- 8 oz. Ginger Beer

Ice, Rum, Ginger Beer, Stir, in that order. Enjoy.

Bermuda Rum Swizzle

- 2 oz. Gosling's Black Seal Rum (2 oz., 4 oz., 6 oz., etc...) The more the merrier right?
- 1 oz. Lime juice
- 1 oz. Pineapple juice
- 1 oz. Orange juice
- 1/4 oz. Falernum

Shake with ice and strain into a highball with ice, and garnish with a slice of orange.

Falernum is a dieing ingredient in cocktails and may be hard to find. Grenadine can be used instead of Falernum, but try to acquire some Falernum if possible.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Falernum
The man who intoxicates himself on bad whisky is sometimes moved to kill his wife and set his house on fire, but the victim of applejack is capable of blowing up a whole town with dynamite and of reciting original poetry to every surviving inhabitant.

Boston Party Tea

6 ounces of hot english breakfast tea in a tempered vessel
1 measure of dark jamacian rum
Garnish with a lemon

Thomas Jefferson used to keep a large bowl of rum next to his bed, only thought it proper to add rum to tea.

Sorry, only one true california cocktail:

one box white wine (to honor our many fine vintners)
one gallon cheap tequila (to honor our Mexican heritage)
ice as needed

Pour the wine into glasses, distribute among the females in the group. Pour the tequila into ice-filled tumblers, distribute among the males in the group.
Repeat as needed until the females are amorous and the males actually think the females look good.
