astonish me with your drink recipes!

I want an astonishing new drink. My repertoire has become dull and stale so I implore you drunkards for help. I'd prefer something that doesn't require or presume an extensive bar selection (come on, I'm kind of poor and things are expensive here), but an exotic-ish ingredient or two are okay. Let's see what you all come up with, I'm looking forward to it!

I suggested it before, and it's quite controversial, but here goes:

equal parts (cheap) gin and (sour) apple schnapps + a bit of soda/tonic

A friend of mine also was reccomending the other day:

light beer, with a shot of tequila and some lime added (not tried this myself)

I've just astonished myself... gin and tonic with a splash of energy drink (I'm using Blue Bolt from Sainsbury's) and maybe creme de cassis. The drink of Angels. Of course it helps that I splurged on Bombay Sapphire. There is a reason why I, a lightweight, am down halfway on my fifth already (9 pm). This is a brilliant drink, I didn't even like gin and tonic before tonight, but you all should try it--but then again I'm sure you already know the brilliance of the G&T. So in conclusion, gin and tonic is teh w1n. :twisted:

The Crystal Method (I wish I could take credit for either the name, or the drink, but sadly, it was my roommate's ingenious concoction):

Start with a rocks glass filled to almost the brim with ice cold vodka (preferably a somewhat decent brand).
Pour contents of a packet of Crystal Light Drink powder into said rocks glass.

Stir.

It actually tastes remarkably close to Crystal Light made with water, except with some slight warmth to it. And it has the advantage of getting you right fucked. And, of course, this hinges on whether you like Crystal Light too, I guess.

Yeah, I know, sorry. But in my defense I meant it as more of a "hey, whoever's online, let's talk about various drinks" kind of thing. My idea was a consolidated thread for the most recent ideas, and I don't think that is totally without merit. But you have a point. Gin and tonics and apologies all around.

My 'get wasted in under five drinks' special

The Jedi Mind Trick

2 parts Vodka
1 part Sambucca
1 part Gold Tequila(cuervo for the bite)

Pour the vodka into a highball glass with a lot of ice and add the sambucca. Pour in lemonade till you're near the top then drop in the tequilla. Add some lime juice for some slight colouration and murkiness and voila.

Figured since I just joined I should make a contribution :twisted:

Brave man that you are,never met anyone who could get past their second. But I'll gladly ply you with this wonderous creation.

As for my second contribution to this thread,may I introduce to you the Pink and Blonde

1 part vodka
1 part peach schnapps or malibu

Prepare a glass as you would for a long vodka,dash of bitters swirled round the length of the glass,add ice.Then add the vodka and peach schnapps. Mix in blackcurrant cordial and top up with lemonade and a slice of lemon.

Nice balance of sweetness and sour. Was asked to do something creative with either peach schnapps or malibu during my last shift

Suffering Bastard
1.5oz Dark Rum
1.5oz Light Rum
0.5oz Triple Sec
Splash of Sour

Mix all the ingredients in a shaker with ice, pour into a cocktail mug (tiki's are prefered) then dump in another half shot of dark Rum (because it's the right thing to do). Decorate with a citrus wheel and tiki schwag if your feeling fancy.
