%50 malibu rum
my mate and i came up with this recipe during a drinking night

it works quite well, but considering how hard it is to come across good absinth maybe you should reconsider :)

My girlfriend mixes it with cranberry juice...its just a really girly drink for people who don't want to taste their booze.

Thank God it's just a shooter. But for full-sized cocktails, just about any bartenders' guide has recipes with Pernod, which was made to be an absinthe substitute, which you can now replace with the real thing.

My major concern is the use of Malibu in anything to be considered a real drink....Malibu is to drinking what neurofen is to drug abuse....weak, pointless and pansy-fied.

I had some authentic absinthe in a small old bar in Barcelona....it was some pure shit goodness.
