I think I may try this. Not being hyped as 'shine or even white dog. The fact that it is aged in uncharred oak barrels makes it interesting.

Re: Jim Beam Jacob's Ghost
sounds like it would be the whiskey equivalent of some of the Havana Club rums, which are quite excellent in my opinion

but watch out, maybe it's my computer, but that website runs pretty slowly

I loves me a good Dickens reference.

Re: Jim Beam Jacob's Ghost
It may be good as a substitute/change-of-pace in various mixed-drinks (I wouldn't mind sampling, say, a Bloody Mary or a rum/fruit-juice cocktail made using this), but it sounds suspiciously like yet another "me too", ho-hum, 40% abv white whiskey (boasting a dusted-off, 200yo, "our founder's original recipe").
I love Beam and Beam Black, but these are also the people who brought us Red Stag cherry and other flavor-infused bourbons. There isn't a suggested retail price listed on the site, but IF it ends up retailing for more than original Jim Beam, then it's another sales trick...as in: easier, cheaper to make, under-aged whiskey being marketed as "special" and at a premium price.
Sorry for being so cynical...will await your report, Patchez.

Yes, indeed. And, maybe, samples...peetie44 wrote:...will await your report, Patchez.

You will probably get a court summons soon, regarding your assault of a Mr. Nail, who claims to have been struck on the headpeetie44 wrote: but these are also the people who brought us Red Stag cherry and other flavor-infused bourbons.
